Hi, I’m Kelly. And this is the story of how my different passions and skills came together to shape my career.
I began my INTERIOR DESIGN career in 1996, working with several top residential firms in San Francisco while completing my degree. In 1998, I saw an opportunity to specialize in SUSTAINABLE DESIGN—a rarity at the time—and started my own firm. This foundation in interior design has been central to everything I've built in my career since.
My work quickly grew, and within a few years, I was one of the leading sustainable design experts in the country. I moved to Los Angeles just as Hollywood was embracing the "go green" movement, and I built a fun client roster of future-forward brands, celebrities, and thought leaders.
This dual expertise in design and sustainability has opened the door to many exciting adventures. It led me to the world of SPACE DESIGN, where I help companies utilize space to improve human health and benefit the planet, and even to design a sustainable future beyond Earth.
That same "designer brain"—the one that helps me create and innovate—is what I use to custom-design a wonderful and fulfilling life. As I’ve shared my story, many people have told me they wished they had the tools to make their own authentic, unconventional choices. This inspired me to write a book on LIFE DESIGN, so I could share my processes and help others build a life they truly love.
If you’re wondering what all this looks like in practice, you might find me on a podcast, or in front of a live audience, happily talking about design, sustainability, space, or life itself. My brain loves to stay busy! I also co-own a zero-alcohol craft cocktail bar with my brother, and when I'm not doing that, I’m probably geeking out on longevity.
I live in Salt Lake City, and am always open to new projects wherever there are great people who want to create something together.
